Alexandrine Parakeet (Psittacula eupatria)

The Alexandrine Parakeet (Psittacula eupatria) is a large species of parrot found across much of the Indian subcontinent and in parts of South-east Asia. This species is also known as the Alexandrine Parrot.

What does an Alexandrine Parakeet sound like? Alexandrine Parakeets make a variety of loud raucous calls including hoarse rolling ‘graak’ squawks, piercing ‘kree-ar’ screeches and other shrill, grating calls.
