Green Catbird
Sounds & Calls
What does a Green Catbird sound like? Green Catbirds make strange wailing calls that sound like a cross between a wailing cat and a newborn baby crying! These distinctive calls are a common sound of subtropical rainforests in south-east Queensland and north-east New South Wales. Green Catbirds also make a few other call types including very high-pitched, sharp ‘tick’ sounds & dry rasping calls.
