The Spotted-tailed Quoll (Dasyurus maculatus) is Australia’s second largest species of carnivorous marsupial (only the Tasmanian Devil is larger). They are found in eastern Australia and Tasmania, and inhabit a variety of habitat types including wet and dry eucalypt forests, heaths and woodlands. The Spotted-tailed Quoll is also known as Tiger Quoll, Spot-tailed Quoll or Spotted-tail Quoll.
What does a Spotted-tailed Quoll sound like? Spotted-tailed Quolls can make dry, harsh raspy calls, breathy hisses as well as louder screeches and soft clicking or clucking sounds.
