The Brown Honeyeater (Lichmera indistincta) is a medium-sized species of honeyeater found across much of Australia. They are particularly common in coastal areas in the tropical north.
What does a Brown Honeyeater sound like? The pleasant song of the Brown Honeyeater consists of melodic, cheery notes and chattering, rolling phrases. They also make a distinctive loud ‘tyzuit’ call, softer ‘plip’ calls, and harsh scraping notes.
