The Olive-backed Oriole (Oriolus sagittatus) is a medium-sized songbird found in eastern & northern Australia and New Guinea. 

What does an Olive-backed Oriole sound like? The song of the Olive-backed Oriole is a melodious fluty rolling phrase – ‘oree-oree-ole’.  This song is a familiar sound of forests in eastern Australian in spring and summer. Olive-backed Orioles also have a chattering, rambling subsong which often includes mimicry. They also make a few others calls including chattering sounds and a harsh ‘chhyeet ‘sneeze’ call.
