Ground Parrot
Calls & Sounds
What does a Ground Parrot sound like? Ground Parrots make melodic whistling phrases often given on an ascending scale. These song phrases are most often heard at dawn or dusk and on into the early evening. Several parrots often call and respond to one another as can be heard in the video below. At times these phrases are given as a series of more evenly-pitched notes. Ground Parrots also make bell-like notes as well as soft rasping calls.
